Hello,
I just graduated last spring with an Associates in Applied Science and a Certificate in Business Technology. I want to become an Certified Public Accountant but im not sure I can afford to go back to school for 4 years and get my Bachelors… I know there is an Accounting Exam that is kind of like the Bar exam except its for prospective Accountants and not for lawyers. I pretty smart and I know I could teach myself all I need to know and I also know they must have practice study guides online for the exam, so I was wondering if anyone knew if its possible to skip college, and just go take the National Accounting Exam or are you not qualified to take the Accounting Exam without the degree’ I am not lazy trust me, I went to school and graduated with my degree, but I have a child, and Im already in major debt from student loans. Also to survive I would have to get a part time job as a Bookkeeper (the whole reason I want to go higher in my degree is because with the economy and where I live I can’t even find a job doing that), raise a child, and take more than 12 credit hours a semester if I want to get it done quicker. So please if anyone has any information about this or about the Salary of a Certified Public Accountant, or any other information that would be of use to me, please share
Thank you and best answer will receive points from me
