can anyone please give me some feedback on the below personal statement.

I enjoy the challenge that mathematics can provide. No other subject offers me the reward of total satisfaction in successfully tackling a problem that might have seemed insurmountable but is later discovered to have required only a different approach. I was known among my colleagues and fiends that I always come up with a different approach in problem solving which sometimes is even easier to understand than the one given by teachers, which made my teachers looking forward for my answers and share them with other students and making it clear that it is my way of solving the problem, this made my friends come to me when struggling or having any problems with anything related to maths.
The same with the degree I am studying at the mean time, which is Accountancy and Business Economics, I have number of modules where mathematics is involved, and I have enjoyed these ones much more than all the other modules, even at university I still get colleagues seeking my advice and help on the subject, which gives me more confident that this is what I should have chosen to study in the first place.

I always wanted to study mathematics, but at the time I finished my A levels I was not sure how can I use a mathematics degree in real life, but now I totally understand that a mathematics degree holder can choose between a huge variety of careers’ paths.

I’ve chosen Accountancy and Business Economics because at the time I had to decide what to study I thought that this is the closest I can do to a mathematics degree. Even though I did not have any educational background in any of the two subjects ( accountancy and economics), I still managed to get 7 As and 2 Bs in the modules I’ve took so far, this proves that if I start something I would try and tackle it in the best possible way and never give up. I know that I have a lot of potential and I will use it to keep improving myself.

I am a hard working person, people who see me at work say I am workaholic, people who see me at university always say that they do not know how I can do it and how I can manage. I enjoy challenges in my life and refuse but to be exceptional in anything I do. I do not give up easily and that is exactly what I am doing by choosing to study a Mathematics which has always been a dream which now its time for it to come true.

Two years ago I started working in a small company as an admin assistant. I am a quick learner, I progressed quickly in my career and proved that I can take more responsibilities. Now I am a general manger, supervising two colleagues whom I trained. My boss at work could not believe that a 19 years old (at the time I started) can be as mature and take such responsibilities. I am known to surprise people by giving 100% in anything do. If perfection is impossible, I always aim to be as close to it as possible.

I developed a lot of business experience working for over two years in a business environment, which many people at my age lack. I have done tasks and jobs that essential in any business, from customer service, administration work, purchasing, account managing, sales, web support to book keeping

I already gained a lot of transferable skills from my academic and career paths, and I am sure that a mathematics degree will help me improve my skills and that I will generate new ones through out the course.
