Accounting Online Study for Accounting Degree & Certification

My Parents are filing their taxes late, so I won’t be getting Financial Aid. They have agreed to pay for the semester as long as I don’t take a lot of classes. Anyways, this is my first year and I was home schooled since 6th grade so I have no idea what to expect.

I have been out of school for a couple years now so I have forgotten a lot (long story, but wasn’t able to go to college until now).

I am taking 3 classes – English Comp I, Principals of Accounting, and Biology which also has lab.

I am going to a community college this semester and those 3 are going to cost $1500. Plus, books are going to be about $600 at minimum.

And that is just to expensive. So, I want to drop a class. It is between Accounting and Biology. The books for both are about $500 used.

But, will I get a refund for the class I drop’ Class’s here don’t start until the 27th which is odd because every other school I know they started this Monday.

So can I drop one of those two and get a refund’ That would be great because then my parents won’t have to pay so much and I would have more time to study and get caught up on everything since I have been out of school for a couple years and next semester when I have Financial aid I will take a couple extra classes and I plan to take classes in the summer like my brother did.

So doesn’t really bother me if I only take 2 classes this semester.

Can I get a refund for one of these classes since they haven’t started yet and which one would you recommend me dropping’ Accounting everyone says is pretty hard so I kinda wanna keep that since if it is I will have a lot more time to study for it.

But Biology I am not that good at, and has two classes with it. And my other two classes would line up perfectly together. Except I hear the lab professor is pretty good and a lot of people like him, and I won’t be going to this college next semester.

But kinda want some thoughts on what to do. Thanks.
